Got this yesterday, just waiting for it to ship. This deal has been around for a while, but It was previously trying to charge me 9.5% tax for some reason. When I looked at it again yesterday, no tax. I just hope it goes through.

Probably now happening with the ram prices. They will keep them as is. Why sell at a discount when if you are going to build something, you just are "mentality" IMO

Michigan. We definitely do not have 9+% tax. Mine says its shipped, so somehow I got away without taxes this time.

I feel like that's the reason it's more likely to happen. Less people are upgrading because a core component of AM5 is overpriced. Less people will build with AM5 because they want to avoid paying through their nose for RAM. Try looking up Ryzen 7 5800X3D prices, they're kinda crazy right now...

So you are saying the 7800x3d on the same platform as the 9800x3d is going to go on sale? People forget the GPU craze on mining. I purchased a 5600x at the time and prices did not magically go down on a 3600x. Same here. Those are my 2 cents and the pattern is the same. GL waiting. Prices will only maintain or go up like everything is.

I dont have a crystal ball, its just a theory, though I'm pretty sure GPU prices are going up since Nvidia is cutting production. Also this situation is a bit different. A GPU isn't platform-specific while RAM is. Anyway this is a pretty in-demand processor so I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't go down in price either.

Micron cutting consumer ram production, Samsung announcing they are pulling as well with ssd/memory. NVIDIA basically saying "F the consumer" along with RAM needed for almost everything to run on a basic computer and mostly everything we use in daily life" IE Phone/car/TV ect. People did not predict this and AI bullsht needs to burst. So many articals saying that the AI companies have no consumer revenue and trying to force it on everyone so the big corporations can charge for it. Took me 20 mins to figure out how to get past Amazons AI bsht the other day to get to a helpdesk on a charge.

I'm playing the long game on PC parts. Everything is going up. I don't need the latest and greatest CPU at the moment. If the economy ever crashes hopefully PC parts go with it.
