Cancel your subscription and then delete it from your services. Then sign up for a new one

Also check your paypal offer "earn 1000 points on your first google play purchase of 5+" , so that way it will be free google one 100gb data for 1year.

So do we cancel Google one via Google Play first, or go straight for "Cancel your membership and delete information from Google One" on delete a Google service via Google account?

Could just be me but I was on the 200gb plan, followed the steps and when I went to sign up I only had 100gb (not enough for me) or 2TB options. So although I saved 50%, I'm worried about next year that I'll be forced to use the 2TB option going forward at full price. If that's the case and I can't sign up to the 200gb plan anymore, it may not be so slick in the long run. Just a warning if anyone else is in the same situation.

Would someone be kind enough to let me know how much it costs to upgrade to the 200gb? There should be an option after you purchase the 100gb.

It works. My old subscription would end in a month. I did exactly what you told. Now I renewed and received some refund for the unfinished plan. Thanks so much.

Once again to all wondering;

you will not lose any data when you cancel.

You will only be able to stop uploading and receiving emails

***so make sure you immediately sign back up after cancelling and your emails will begin going back through immediately***

Yeah I was just wondering if we could possibly skip canceling via play store first since the delete a Google service page says it'll also cancel your membership and delete information from Google One.

I also did a slickdeal in the past, Prepaid and shows Next payment: $19.99 on Jul 16, 2027. Not sure if it is worth trying as I still have a year and half left of the prepaid plan. Did the 2 steps posted in the thread work for anyone in a similar situation? Thanks in advance!

What's the point if you'll be forced to full price after one year? If you're cancelling after one year, why bother signing up? Seems like a trap deal. 🤔

Exactly. You essentially can't ever stop renewing unless you clear out pictures/videos or you won't get email (which seems to be really important).

I had a yearly plan till Jul 2026. Cancelled but didn't get option to request partial refund. Deleted Google One and subscribed with promo price. Few minutes later got an email for partial refund Smilie. Awesome deal.
