Community Reviews

This bundle is a straight port of Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2, best for replaying two classic Wii-era platformers on Switch. The games are still praised as fun, and the timing may appeal to anyone wanting a refresher before the Mario Galaxy movie in April 2026. Pricing is the main sticking point, with comparisons to lower effective prices elsewhere and reminders that Nintendo Selects used to make these titles much cheaper. Visual downgrades are also noted, including missing shiny metallic textures and other inferior textures, so it feels more like a nostalgia pickup than a full upgrade.

  • Parents introducing kids to classic 3D platformers, because the bundle lets a new generation play two well-liked games that still feel fun.

    Tumbleweed7200DogAndPony

  • Players replaying the games before the 2026 movie, because the bundle gives a convenient way to revisit both adventures ahead of release.

    JuliusC1079DogAndPony

  • Collectors wanting portable versions of the Galaxy games, because the bundle is a straight port rather than a remake.

    barrera_jDragonflyPunch

  • Fans who missed these games on Wii, because the bundle packages both titles together and the games are still considered good.

    Tumbleweed7200DogAndPony

  • Shoppers who want a lower-priced first-party platformer, because the bundle is priced like a premium release rather than a budget reissue.

    Briggs92mastermc54pliepl

  • Players expecting a modern remake, because the release is a straight port with no new design work.

    barrera_jDragonflyPunch

  • Buyers who already own one of the Galaxy games, because the bundle can feel like a double dip for half the cart.

    Jaymz99

  • Players sensitive to visual fidelity, because some shiny metallic textures were removed and other textures may be missing or inferior.

Says who? You?
Most including me . Old ports that are not even upgraded in graphics don't deserve it

This thing should be $40 at most. I saw Walmart is selling it for $100. 🤣

Nintendo is like Mr Krab. In for family but $ comes first.
Exactly, this doesn't seem right, two remakes rolled into a single game AND on woot for essentially MSRP (since it's not a switch 2 version.) Plus Christmas shopping is behind us now, I would not be surprised at all to see this drop to $50 in a few weeks (not directly from Nintendo of course.)

Wonder if they're keeping prices up since the new Mario Galaxy movie is coming out in a few months.

Best buy has it for the regular price of 69.99
But their offering 20% off a select peripheral with it. Like pro controllers and what not. Plus alot of people are getting that $5 or $10 certificates put on their accounts if you're not aware.

I doubt it. Nintendo is very adamant about what their games are worth. People think Nintendo's greed is a recent thing, it's not.

On Reddit they censor you for disagreeing with the group narrative, so it's a perfect safe space echo chamber of unchallenged, unquestioned lunacy - for anyone who doesn't understand the reference.

As much as i highly disagree with Nintendo's pricing. I had a lot of great memories playing this game as a teenager and would love for my kids to experience it as well. Plus i feel like you can easily sell this for the same price in the future so thanks OP, grabbed a copy
