Can't be worse than the echo shows... They just kept pumping ads on it and it slowed down so much. Luckily I have the 1st Gen, so loaded lineage on it, no more Alexa!

Somewhat true, if you dont use it for anything else. I've gradually set my most of my house up on a smart system (lights, cameras, speakers, vacuums). Plan to replace fans with smart fans soon. Now we are so used to home automation that it's unusual without Alexa.

normally i don't post.. and i agree i was pretty much done with alexa, annoyed as can be.. but i bought this, because i needed to replace an alexa show--and discovered alexa+--and i got to say it is pretty good... really it is a game changer--made me believe that alexa could actually dominate again..

Yeah, just the gen 1 for now, did it for the two 8" screens I have and the 5". Its really not too bad, I have had experience with lineage on old cell phones, but the guides are pretty good.

I've been having the same problem with my Echo Show 5. I have to restart it basically every day to get it back into a usable state. It can be quite frustrating.

Yeah, check to see what version you have, if its a version 1, then you can flash lineage. My kids are a "kids" version, which is version 2, so nothing for it yet
