I bought a bunch of these last time they were on sale. I'd measure your filament, these are tinier than they appear.
I also wouldn't quite call them flimsy, but they are a bit more flexible than I'd like. I think air sealing them would be rough, when you stack them, they mostly just sit on top of each other with a little lock on the side. Air sealing the front also sounds like a nightmare, closure is accomplished by a fairly weak magnet and the way it opens is just a cylindrical plastic notch that goes into holes on both sides.
Feel like you'd have to replace and add a lot to it to seal it and make it functional.

Any thoughts on using this for 3D printer filament storage? I'd want to seal it somehow, thinking maybe weather stripping around the seams, but maybe it's just too flimsy to make that happen. Appreciate any thoughts

Really appreciate that! I think I'm just going to build a holder for some 19L air tight bins I have rather than try to back into this one. But this was super helpful, thanks so much!

These look like they could be easily made into seed starting greenhouses for gardening. It looks like you could string lights and a small fan cord through each bin. I don't need a new system but I'd buy this if I did.

Nobody is falling for this anymore. These are like half the size at best on what they show in the pictures. Make sure you double the the actual size. You might be able to fit a single shoe in there, that's about it.

I have 2 of these, good enough for light stuff. the very top one, cannot put anything heavy ie 2-3 laptops. because the plastic will sag a little making it harder to close the lid.

Otherwise good for a small desk side organizer for random stuff to keep out of sight.

I 3D printed bins inside of it to keep it more organized inside of it.

Look at the measurements, it's not big like the other ones I've seen on here but I got it because it was smaller for a desk-side caddy
