Huge deal if you work with paints and such. Just know your paints and keep in mind that there is another level filter to protect from formaldehyde etc.

I use these for pretty much all my projects involving paint and dust. Call it overkill but the mask is pretty comfortable for me so I don't care

These are also helpful during the California fires to filter out all the harmful smoke particulates. They are overkill for that but prevented my asthma from acting up. Just be sure to have a well fitted 3M face mask

Yep. In for a few, even though I use mostly the 3M 2297 for plain particulate filtration (nice minimal airflow restriction)

It's just a pair, yeah. Doesn't seem like they had a lot of quantity though because they didn't last more than an hour
