Baseus Enercore CG11 is a compact travel adapter that stands out for its built in retractable cable, fused design, and 70W USB C charging for laptops and phones on international trips. The 45W and 70W versions are the same size, and the 70W model adds useful headroom for laptop charging. It has worked well on trips to Europe, Asia, cruises, and even flights, with the cable and outlet options making it handy for travel. The main cautions are its bulk, the retractable cord as a possible wear point, and the fact that it is a plug adapter, not a voltage converter. A practical pick if you want an all in one travel charger and can live with the size.

Common Questions (5)

  • It has been used successfully on trips to Europe, Asia, Singapore, cruises, and airplanes, including charging laptops and phones. One caveat is that universal adapters can fit loosely or feel bulky in some EU sockets, so fit depends on the outlet.

  • The built-in retractable cable is appreciated for travel because it stays attached and avoids packing a separate cord, and it has been described as well built. The tradeoff is that the retractable mechanism is seen as a likely weak point and adds bulk.

  • No. It is a plug adapter, not a voltage transformer, so 110V-only devices can be damaged in 220V outlets. Modern chargers and power supplies that support both 110V and 220V can use it normally.

  • Yes, a free 3.3 ft USB-C 100W PD 5A QC4 cable is offered with purchase, but you cannot stack that with the discount code. It is either the discount or the free cable, not both.

  • The 45W and 70W versions have the same physical size, so the 70W model gives more charging headroom without taking up extra space. The USB-C port can do 60W, while the built-in cable is rated for the full 70W output.

Had to choose the discount over the cable tho. But still a good deal.

Would this adapter work with 110 V and 220 V? In the US we use 110 V if I travel to a country with 220 V, could I use my US 110 V devices with 220 V electricity?
The description lists it works with them but this does not convert the voltage so you have to make sure your electronics works with both 110 V and 220V.

So I bought this for my trip to Asia. While I like the idea, it is bulky and the prongs do not stay into the outlets. That is the only concern I have. Otherwise love all the outlet options, retractable prongs and retractable usb cord. I'm a bit torn if I want to keep or return it.

Retractable cord is such a dumb feature imo. What happened if/when it breaks?

This is not a transformer. Your 110v will get destroyed if plugged in here to a 220v outlet.

Yeah but then youre carrying around a USB cable in the device that you can't use. Just seems unnecessary - give the user ports and let them supply their own cable.
I mean the USB C port on it can do 60w. It'd be better if it could do the full 70w output of the built-in cable but a 10w difference isn't really going to make it/break it for anything.

Thanks. I didn't see the breakdown of outputs on my first pass.

I still dislike the retractable cable but it's not a huge deal.

Many have given answers to this question. It is a plug adapter not a voltage adapter. Now most modern devices have world power supplies so they would work well, but occasionally some devices come with 110v only. SO it should work reasonably well, most of the time, in most situations, but you need to confirm that your devices can handle the voltage.

SO the direct answer is no you can't use 110V devices with this plug adapter in 220V areas. The really question is how many of your devices are really 110v only.

Zero devices are 110v only because all consumer electronic are made from overseas. Most countries in the world use 220v or switching out of 110v for energy efficiency.

Using it currently on an airplane. The plus for this one is the retractable cable is well built. Also, it has a standard US blade style plug on the side besides the all in one plug like most of these.

Anyone have a source on the max power rating? Both Amazon and their website only list the 70W PD. Even the cheap no name adapter that are for a specific country say don't go beyond 2200W or some other figure. Can't find any safety info for this

Oral B electric tooth brushes were 110V only for a long time. They changed with the IO Series to world adapters. Maybe Older electric razors etc might have the issue. The intent of my statement was for them to double check if they were actually 110v only.

If you travel to EU often, you will find these universal adapters don't work well, they don't fit in sockets or hang correctly. Hotel sockets are looser than the girls in Amsterdams red light district and other sockets are too recessed you can't fit these things in. Get a set of simple dedicated adapters, an extension cord and your US brick.

Something like this USA To EU European Travel Plug [ebay.com]

Airport use, these Universal adapters will be fine for that.
