The only one that is questionable is Slytherin it's supposed to smell like a damp dungeon. The others are fine and are meant to be atmospheric. I thought they were pretty cool

Then I'm guessing the candles hold true to the book series. Not ONCE do the books mention showering or laundry...
House elves do the chores including cooking, cleaning, and laundry, the prefects have a huge bath in their restroom. Not sure why you think there are not baths and laundry.
