For a bit less you can get a refurbished 3060 Ti or 3070 from Zotac and get something faster (on average) with fewer quirks. (I think the RTX 5060 has gotten down to $250 a few times too.)

This is still a good deal as it's not much slower, new and has more VRAM which is good for longevity. You should still look up benchmarks to check if whatever games you're looking to play are not broken, though this is now rare.

Oh, you should also check and see if your system supports "resizable BAR" as this card will not run well without it enabled.

I picked up a B580 and have been testing it over the last few days.

The results are interesting. I don't think this is a card for everyone.

On Windows, with mainstream modern games, it performs well overall. With older games, it is hit or miss. Many games run perfectly but certainly not all. Some examples:

In Star Wars, Knights of the Old Republic 2(2005), some of the UI elements don't render
In Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag(2013), enabling MSAA causes improper display and application crashes
Return to Castle Wolfenstein(2001) simply didn't launch
I only tested 15 games, so finding 3 with issues is material in my opinion. That being said, a lot of people aren't playing games from 20 years ago so this might not matter to you.

This probably won't matter to most people but on Linux, my results are much more dire. Performance is mostly bad and many modern games have major compatibility issues. It is bad enough that I am wondering if I am doing something wrong there.

Got one for Christmas, running Fortnite at >300 fps at 280hz 1080p. Very pleased.

Yes and also be clear there was a cpu overhead issue and I'm not sure if that got fixed but basically there was a big difference in performance when this was paired with a high end cpu compared to a mid range cpu even though technically this should scale perfectly with a mid range cpu.
Might want to add if you have a PCIe 3.0 motherboard, you'll lose a few FPS as well, this card being x8 lanes.

As much as I want to support a new competitor, and I'm impressed they're even this good. But for me personally, not being able to run some old games is a deal breaker for me. Especially when it's AAA titles like KOTOR. Too bad, because this thing looks like a perfect candidate for a mini itx set top box build.

Get out of here with your peddling. This is a way better deal than refurbed old tech from Zotac.

Bought one for my older desktop with a Ryzen 5 3600 and convinced my sister in law to get one to replace her AMD RX580. Now she can finally play Doom Dark Ages and now is bottle necked by her Ryzen 2600. Intel is working hard on driver optimizations. Looking forward to seeing a new year of fixes

Will I get free game with this?
If you want the free game you are better off buying from BH photo or newegg directly because they will give you a master key to redeem on the promo site.

I got my acer nitro b580 from bh photo and got email for intel masterkey. and had intel makes you run a program to scan if its a b580 installed on computer. Then you pick 1 of the 4 games. I picked BF6 and they give you another gamekey to redeem on EA app, no steam key.

Hard to say exactly. It is between the 5050 and the 5060 but is has more VRAM than either so it depends on the game and the settings.

Setup is a 12700k with 64GB of DD4 and 2TB Samsung 990. I pickup some AAA games from time to time.Currently on a 5700xt but lacks Ray Tracing and can't stand having to full blast the fans to keep it from overheating (known AMD issue).
Sell half that RAM and the GPU and you should be able to get a 5070!

I went from 5700xt to 5070 and it is truly a massive and excellent upgrade

Good GPUs. Note: Currently not compatible with Oculus and Steam VR. Found out the hard way.

There's a lot of compromises with these Intel cards that a older 3000 series GeForce card don't have to make.

Guys, Chase is offering some of their credit cards $50 off $100 or more if you link your Chase qualified cards to Paze (competitor to PayPal) and pay using Paze at participating retailers. Newegg is one of the participating retailers so I grabbed the highly rated ASRock steel legend version of this card for $269 - $50 statement credits. Look into it and see if your Chase cards qualify and you can save 50 bucks.
