4K is usually fake, upscaled from 2K. If it doesn't have a Starvis 2 4K chip, beware; there's no mention of what's inside anywhere.

VIOFO.

The one is this post is the F7N plus and doesn't have starvis sensor, the F7N pro has starvis 2 and was on sale at about $90 new during black Friday weekend. The Rove r2 is a bit better than the F7N pro but it's a bit more expensive too, currently it's $90 open box.
The REDTIGER F7NT is $90 before the discount and it has touchscreen and starvis 1 sensor. If you do a lot of driving at night I'd get that instead.

And running cables for a rear camera is pretty easy.

Viofi a119 #1 ($100, Starvis, no rear camera or sd card)
Redtiger F7N Plus #2 ($55, Starvis, sd card, rear camera).
Lots of misinformation in this thread...

You can split hairs and spend forever trying to find the very best one like I did. Just go with one that fits your budget and has low failure rate / returns. Most of them are running the same hardware.
Recommend getting the polarized lens filter for any dash cam that has it. Good upgrade for improving clarity and filtering light better.
