Seems OK for the price. The well known competitors are the Hyper 212 from Cooler Master which is on sale for closer to $10 and the Assassin X120 from Thermalright. For the price I still think another $3 for this AS120V2 [amazon.com]with an extra fan is worth it.

Yup seems like even the H212 has better cooling performance. Take a look at this TPU review [techpowerup.com].

The Assassin X 120R SE CPU Cooler is $17.59 on Amazon, so this is only $2.59 cheaper.

Where's the sale for Hyper 212? Could only find the RGB version from WOOT! But that's sold out. Looking to get good cheap cooler for a used build to sell.

It's worse than the 214-XT. Have both of them.

I saw a brief one on buildapcsales for around $9. This one ain't bad but why not either save or get more cooling for around the same price. Maybe to match your other ID fans?

You missed that boat during BF. I was able to purchase 2x Hyper 212's from Amazon Haul at that time for $10 each.

I think this comes with some Frost X25 paste, unless they changed that from early reviews/unboxing.

I only paid $22 for a Thermalright cooler that had 6 heat pipes instead of 4, and included an ARGB fan.
