I have owned one these for years. Great little mouse. Sorry to hear about the other person saying his broke. Mine has been a solid performer. Nice to have a mouse without the funky shapes and tons of buttons that most people don't even program anyways.

When you say "little" do you actually mean the size?
Or is it regular sized?

It is on the smaller side. I have relatively small hands and I generally claw grip this mouse.

Does the dpi switch work without the software being installed?

You can download the logitech program to change the onboard memory settings so that you don't have to install/run anything. It's a portable program without an install.

You obviously can't use macros but that's fine https://support.logi.com/hc/en-00...ry-Manager

Anyone know how to permanently turn off the LEDs? The settings don't seem to do it for me.
Also does anyone know of a third party app for Mac that can program all the buttons?

Yes it works. I've just tested it on Linux Mint, but I presume it works on Windows as well.

I would say it's a little bit on the smaller side, compared to a much larger size mouse like the EVGA X12 mouse. But it's nothing like those tiny wireless compact Logitech mouse. My favorite thing about this mouse is the precision and responsiveness and the DPI button, which is extremely underrated for some reason, a lot of other mice out there don't have a dedicated dpi button, and if they do it's underneath the mouse, I personally like changing my DPI on the fly and this mouse has a pretty low and high dpi setting. There's a lot of talk on higher the DPI the better, but actually, having a very low dpi is very helpful, if you're doing video editing, and you need super fine small tiny movements for adjusting or content creation purposes, in my opinion a 16,000 dpi is a complete waste of time, I'd rather have something that can go down to 200 dpi. Most other mice are 500-1000 DPI on the low end. And that's not low enough.

If you get the double click issue, a pair of Kailh GM replacement switches is $2+$6 shipping from places like Lethal GG. Easy permanent fix for anyone with basic soldering competence.

Actually higher dpi gives the sensor more information so it is more precise in games. Of course 800 and above is good enough, just saying that there is a point to going to 2000-4000 and setting it lower in-game.

This is a meh deal and it's crazy this has 50 upvotes. G305 which is essentially the same and wireless (also an 8 year old mouse) is on sale for about $11 after the target gift card. Even if you don't shop at Target often you can just pick up some milk and eggs and it's way better value than this wired-only mouse with a worse sensor.

If you are going to factor in replacing switches you might as well just get a clone of this for a few bucks more (Mchose G3) and not have to worry about something like that. You get a better sensor, wireless (can plug it in for wired), and lighter weight.
