That's because it has been out of stock for a month already, ever since the sales event. As OP said in the title YMMV, maybe some stores still have one or two in stock.

Even if it was in stock, it is still not a very slick deal. Right before the Black Friday, the same 12V brushless drill + Impact driver + battery and charge, it was briefly on sales for $39.99. It is good enough for light work around the house. Otherwise, look for a 20V one.

This drill and the impact driver are both way stronger than the 12v Milwaukee i had and at the time they were the best tools on the market. And the Skil outperformed them both. Every tool has its limits, 12v line is just that a lightweight tool for simple repetitive tasks. They are not designed to be pulling 8in lag bolts repeatedly or drilling holes in multiple stacked 2x4s. And Milwaukee also knows that which is why if you want 4in holes in pressure 6x6 treated lumber they sell you a HOG drill instead of telling you to use their 12v drill.

Agreed. I used 12v Skil impact driver with socket adapter to remove Lug Nuts off Honda Odyssey (22mm socket) without any issues as a home DIYer. I don't use the tool day in and day out. Couldn't be happier with it. It is really light (less than 2 lb). The build quality is top-notch. I own also Milwaukee and Ridgid but they are very expensive. The only issue is Skil is out of stock in Lowes.

Save your money and get a RIDGID drill charger and battery kit for $99. The Skil 12V drills ALL OF THEM, are weak. They are perfect for assembling IKEA and Walmart furniture and drilling holes in VERY soft wood and sheet rock.

I got the SKIL 12 piece tool set for 149.99 about a year ago?

SKIL are very decent tools - especially for things around the house.

Yeah, I'm going to save money and get the Skill 12V drill, thanks anyway.

In Ohio and I ordered one in stock. I got the multitool, impact driver, sander, and battery for $50 during black Friday sale. Got them out and uses them over the holiday break to mount some cabinets and drive screws into drywall and studs. The impact driver is really nice and has plenty of power. Multitool worked fine and when I needed it. Starting to use the sander for some woodworking projects and it eats battery. This drill and battery combo is cheaper than the battery alone. A few projects it's nice to have multiple drills instead of bouncing bits back and forth tool.

These tools are fine for basic tasks around the house. I probably wouldn't use them to build a deck, but worked fine screwing in the 30+ stud and mounting screws.

Enjoy the drill. YOUR money well spent, until you have a task and go out just like I did for a more powerful drill that went on sale.
I still stand with my suggestion go RIDGID (LIFETIME WARRANTY) or KOBALT also from company that made SKIL and any warranty replacement it's done right there at your local Lowe's, Mr Weekend Warrior.

I was shocked the SKIL ⅜impact wrench and impact driver with similar specs were a better buy than the 12V drill.
I'm happy I got the Flex FX1271 hammer drill with turbo for $75 with 2.5Ah battery open box at Lowe's and charger.
The ⅜ impact wrench good enough for my 90ft lb torque car lug nuts for brake repairs and tire rotation.
I had to go to Amazon to get an aftermarket 6Ah 12v battery, it's an improvement from the 2Ah.
