It's a good camera. Ring is a great brand because the monthly fee is very reasonable and the motion alert set to "Chime x3" is enough to wake a person up. If you need color night vision I would recommend upgrading to the "Plus" model. It would help when giving police a description of the color of an intruder's clothing.

Personally gave up Ring for Wyze. Better video, continuous recording and low cost. Just my 2 cents for anyone considering a new system.

No, like the open access Flock cameras that anyone can access from anywhere including stalkers. https://youtu.be/vU1-uiUlHTo?si=I8eqD1AWvVsBmtB2

They don't have access to your private cam feeds unless you somehow opted into that. Ring customer service does though.

Again like the phone in your hand? You think anyone with the smallest amount of tech savvy a few apps and a Redditt thread cant access your phone if they were determined and want to? Being in forensic cybersecurity you would be shocked just how easy it is. If the Pentagon and DOD cant keep out hackers from the nations most heavily guarded info, you think you are.

Just don't. I got 2k motion tracking cameras from TP link for $16 each. They support ONVIF, so you can keep all your video local.

Is a subscription required to use this or can it do some limited standalone work?
