1. No flip lock, just pull/push to extend/retract.
2. Remote shutter is integrated with the tripod, so you have somewhere safe to keep it when not in use.
3. Shutter sends a "Volume down" event, so it's universal (no dedicated iOS/Android button).
4. Really well built and feels sturdy in hand.
I have the Todi version myself, bought it on a whim, and every time I use it, everybody asks me where I got it. It's well worth the extra buck.
