This is an amazing set for someone who is a weekend warrior. But, it's my recommendation if you're going DeWalt, get everything in the XR series. Atomic doesn't always have the power needed to get the job done.

Not worth, the tools are super low level and there're only two, also low level, batteries. IMHO, it's better to buy better tools + better batteries gradually, deal by deal, rather than spend 600 + taxes on some low level tool kit, it's as for professionals. if you're DIYer, you would do better with ryobi level tools, you don't need to pay extra premium for DeWalt / Milwaukee if you don't have any plans to torture these tools 8h a day / 5 days a week.

I bought a similar set years ago and anyone saying you need XR or bust are out of their minds.

These are solid variants tools which will get the job done, end of story.

If you need something to get started for a variety of types of projects these tool set deals are great and will not disappoint.

I have seen plenty jobsites where skilled craftsmen are using a wide range of cordless tools like these without bemoaning that they aren't topline versions. You'll definitely see the more veteran contractors with their earned sets of nice Makitas or similar, but to suggest an average home owner, or even daily user needs topshelf variants is insanity.

TLDR: Good set that gets you a nice variety of tools. It's nice it comes with a box, but I woulda traded for a multitool instead.

I did a bathroom remodel with these exact variants. As well as various weekend warrior projects. So I can confidently say yes this will do. The other poster saying these aren't strong enough or have enough power must be doing some very heavy duty stuff that I wouldn't classify as diy home owner. Are these variants a little slower than the XR series? Yes. But I'm not looking to put together a deck in world record time…
