Have been very disappointed with my other Stanley set such as this. The handle buckles very easily and it does not lock out as others do. Have dumped lots of food while camping in the dirt because of this... Love Stanley brand overall, very disappointed with their camping cookware and handle design

The sliding collar doesn't lock the handle in place securely?

It all collapses under basic weight.

Is the handle upside down? It seems when it is in correct position it should be locked in place unless the metal is soft and bends.

Yeah, upside down like Stranger Things.

I have this Stanley camp pot set but haven't had any issue you mentioned. I really like my pot set.

I think you might be using the lock mechanism wrong. When you lock it, you push into the pan; this props it open.

I'm just not sure about this price tag. I understand it's more like a traditional pot 3 lager bottom but... Dunno about the cost. Seems high b

I ended up passing on this one, as even though it has a tri bottom, it's smaller than the fry pan.its not much smaller, but enough where considerations of egg and bacon require a rethinking of order of operations and timing.

I have quite a few single ply units already, and it's very easy to burn stuff even on a low flame (depending on your heat source)

I opted for the 10" square. 10" is the maximum for most camp stoves, and it also allows for full strip bacon cooking.

It's not light weight, but it looks to be a good compromise size. It also comes with a metal spatula.

I ordered (and received) this specifically because it was compatible with an induction cooktop. I've used it twice…seems very well made, had no issues with the handle (even with a full pot) nor with the lid system. Cleans up nice and highly recommend for induction camp cooking. Nice to be able to cook on the go without carrying fuel or struggling with blackened pots and pans. Huge fan of solar generators for camping.
