Star Wars Battlefront II Celebration Edition is a cheap pick for fast, arcade style Star Wars action, especially if you want a short single player campaign or a console version with active matches. The campaign gets praise as solid enough for a quick playthrough, and the game is also reported to run well on Steam Deck with medium settings and a 40 FPS lock. On PC, hacking and player shortages can make large battles frustrating, while Xbox has not shown those problems and still has decent activity, especially on triple XP Wednesdays. Steam buyers still need the EA app to launch it, so it is best for players who can live with that extra step.

  • The campaign can provide a short, quick playthrough that feels worth the low price.

  • The game can run smoothly on Steam Deck when using medium settings with a 40 FPS lock.

  • The Xbox version reportedly avoids hacker problems and still supports active matchmaking.

  • A community server called Kyber was released publicly for additional multiplayer options.

  • Online play on PC can be plagued by hackers and can make PvP frustrating.

  • PC matchmaking for large battles can be hard to sustain due to insufficient players.

  • Launching on Steam can require installing Original/EA even after purchase.

  • Single-player can feel very poor for some players, which can make the $4 price not worth it.

Looks great in console. Haven't had hacker problems with xbox. Also still quite a lot of people especially Wednesdays which I believe is triple XP
