By its definition unless you were referring to the cut as it sits on the animal, any grocery store ham will be cured, the "uncured" one is just cured using celery - its the same chemical (nitrates) which get converted into nitrites.
when testing the deal it looked like Target was actually doing the price per pound math up to 3 decimals instead of 2 which is why i have 3 decimals in the price per pound after 50% off

Thanks OP. Sure wish it included the uncured ones.

do you still have to cook the uncured ham? the heating instruction is so confusing. do we still have to cook another hour and a half because they are all raw?

Both are fully cooked. You can just slice it off the bone and eat like lunch meat.
This goes to a bad link for me. They must not sell this one in my area.

Yes, you're correct. Sorry, I was just going with the popular wording.

AFAIK, both cured and uncured ham are cooked (except with rare exceptions, which I've only ever seen in the American South). When you put them in the oven, you are just re-heating them. That's why you can buy a ham at the store, take it home, and immediately slice it for ham sandwiches.

I got one that weighs 12 LB, with tag showing "use or freeze by 1/1/2026". How do you freeze it, slice by slice? I don't think I can put the whole 12 lb bag in freezer lol
