New formulation blows, be careful here. Used to be SO GOOD, now I would hesitate at $1 a box, just my 2 cents, and I am a cereal addict!

Below the listed price there's a promo listed offering an additional 15% off orders $40+ on select items including this cereal, just click the "shop items" link to view all items eligible for the promo to see if there are other items of interest that would add up to $40+.

Oh no, you have me worried... This is used to be one of my favorite cereals but haven't been able to afford it for years, is texture messed up or just flavor?

Yeah I loved this stuff about 6 years ago. I am not saying do not try it. Honestly this is a good price for the size. Try it out, if you have to toss it, not the big a loss

EDIT
Just went to my son's house, tried some, they are not that bad. NOT like they were, but they are not terrible and this is a great price for this size box, heck I bought one!

You might not like it as much, but companies are taking a lot of the crap out of their foods which in the long one will be better for the consumers. I'm sure we can get used to the new taste if not You can add a pound of sugar to the box. Now if they could stop all the crap their putting into pet food.

Any other life lessons or advice you want to force on me?

They did not make it "healthier" they changed things due to rising prices starting in 2020, which makes these have more of a cardboard taste vs the old days. It you really think companies take things out for our health, over them saving money then God help you

There was a salmonella outbreak at the plant where Oatmeal Squares used to be made. They closed the plant permanently and are now importing Oatmeal Squares from a Canadian plant. They're more like Oatmeal Rectangles and have a somewhat different recipe.
