The photo is wrong btw on BB's site. This is a 16x9 monitor and a crazy good deal.

I've used OLEDs for a few years now with my desktop. As long as you turn on the built in protection features and allow the monitor to do its maintenance every time you're done with it, it won't be bad at all. I used mine more for work more than gaming.

The fact that this is clearance and not open box is even better.

How would a 5070ti do with this monitor?
Also would I be better off with a mini led if I don't game much?

Lovely monitor; I had the previous gen but busted it when transporting. Ended up buying this one and love it.

I have been waiting to see if I can get an LG 45GX950A for no more than $1,100 OTD to pair with my 5080, but this seems like a great option as well for $700. I like the idea of the 45", but in practicality, I don't think I will take advantage of that screen area and it may actually be too much screen for most of my needs. I am thinking about getting this instead. Is there anyone who would discourage that decision for some reason?

If your primary uses cases for computing are anything that keeps a window in the same place on the screen - especially a window with static content like a web browser or spreadsheets/productivity software, you should definitely go with a MiniLED or other IPS panel. 3rd gen (this product and most others on the market, especially those on sale) OLED panels are susceptible to burn-in when being used as productivity devices. It can be ameliorated with care and maintenance, but it's something you WOULD have to deal with.
5070ti at 4k probably won't be pushing high refresh rate in AAA games unless you're using 3x-4x framegen, but that is an option and you would benefit from the increased motion clarity at 4K high refresh rate (in exchange for added input latency.) It'd also kick ass in the 1080p/480 mode if you wanted to play around with that (so long as your CPU is also high-end.)

For 800 you could get the refreshed version of this no? The 70A-B variant with KVM switch and what now. Although the panel is still the same.

This is tempting. I have been keeping an eye out for Samsung QD-OLED M9 deals, and MSI 321URX QD-OLED deal and this one. I must resist!

I was in a similar buying situation to yours and ended up going the IPS route because of how awesome text clarity is for productivity use. I do also game, so the search was pretty lengthy, but I settled on this Asus monitor and it's been an excellent mixed use daily driver for me. Definitely worth considering in your search.

Last gen model but still very good monitor. Just watch out for panel uniformity issues. There have been reports of blue tinting towards the edges of at least a few of these panels.

I've been using one of these for a while and it's awesome. Looks great aesthetically if you have a white PC setup too.
