Dude! You don't eat that part lol. The salt is to prevent spoilage. A slice of country ham will have way more salt than a few of these.

That said, these have been on sale recently, anyone comment on the quality?
San Antonio jalapeños set the standard for thick, crisp flesh and awesome flavor (while those from Mexico have typically gone the other way) IMO.

Tip: They're normally cheaper in #10 cans. (But fresh are still best.)
