Gotta be defective right? I would assume it's not a common issue considering LG is a reputable brand. If it happened to me I would still roll the dice on a 2nd one and see if it happens again.

May be a known issue hence why they are on sale for a very good price. The only negatives may be the lower resolution if sitting too close.
