This refurbished 16.2 inch MacBook Pro stands out as a still-capable workstation, especially for memory-heavy use, with 32GB of RAM and the M1 Pro chip. The 16GB version is still being used as a daily laptop, and the 32GB configuration is described as strong for the price. Storage is the main limitation, so an external NVMe is the suggested fix if more space is needed. The vague signs of wear wording, missing OEM charger and MagSafe cable, and likely shorter macOS support are the main cautions. It feels like a solid older Mac if the condition and storage tradeoffs are acceptable.

  • People who need a capable MacBook without paying for a redesign, because this older model is still considered a solid daily driver at this price range.

    YwVJZXkDsolidsnake222localdeals

  • Power users running memory-hungry apps, because 32GB of RAM handles heavy multitasking and larger workloads well.

    SlickDillieElon69

  • Daily laptop buyers who want a proven workstation, because this model is still used as a main machine and called a great laptop.

    SlickDillielocaldeals

  • People who need lots of local storage, because 512GB can feel limiting and may require an external NVMe drive.

    SlickDilliemannyv

  • Shoppers who need a clearly graded refurb with low wear risk, because the condition is described only as signs of wear and can be vague.

    Hat-TrickFuschiaHeart785

  • Buyers who want the newest macOS support for years, because M1 Macs may stop getting the latest updates in the next 1-2 years.

    RelaxedStar544

  • People who need a pristine battery and full accessory bundle, because one unit arrived with 430 cycles, 84% battery health, and no OEM charger or MagSafe cable.

Still a pretty good laptop. I'd prefer to see 1TB, but the 32gb of ram is good. I still use the 16gb version as my daily

these have been touching this price range for a while now. for whatever reason the m2 is a little more price sticky. will be interesting when those start to come down in price also

This probably wont drop any more for a while with the ram shortages at the moment

The item description on ebay is in Spanish. No habla espanol.

To bad the condition isn't graded (A+ through F) as "signs of wear" could be bad.

The "signs of wear" is the only thing making me hesitant...

I bought one a few weeks ago, the 16GB variant. The laptop appears to be in good physical condition. A minor dent at the bottom. Battery has 430 cycles and is at 84%. But it does not come with OEM charger nor the MagSafe cable. It came with an 90W Apple USB-C charger and an USB-C to USB-C cable.

This is my daily driver. If you need more space just pick up an external NVMe.

Man I'm getting tempted here. I've been waiting for a redesign which looks to be coming in about a year, but that'll be far more expensive than this is. Then again, this is 5 years old. $800 might be a little high for its age...

Might be an unpopular opinion but saying this retails for $2699 isn't correct. Sure, when it was the current model year it was that price but it's been several years since it was manufactured. It's like saying a used car in 2025 that was new in 2022 had a full retail sticker price. It isn't accurate for the present.

I would buy the current air over this, even with less ram.

This is my daily driver as well. I have the 16GB and 1TB. I have had it since it came out. A great laptop.

Apple will stop releasing the latest Mac OS updates for this M1 machine in the next 1-2 years (normally 7-8 years is the support lifecycle)

decent price, i want a M1 Max though for this. I was looking for a 64GB M1 Max machine to run some larger models. More for convenience... my 24GB M4 Pro is choking at times and 32GB is a small upgrade with weaker CPU / GPU so I am not sure. ebay has 64GB M1 Max 16" for around $1200
