The GIGABYTE Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB stands out as a strong price to performance card, especially for older systems and PCIe 4.0 or earlier builds. It is described as roughly on par with a 6800 non XT, with newer features, and real world results include smooth 1440p play and 90 plus FPS in Horizon Forbidden West. The main caveat is open box availability, which appears limited by store and distance, and there is some concern about receiving the wrong memory size. For shoppers who can find the right unit locally, the discount is notable because these 16GB cards rarely drop near this price.

  • The open-box pricing can be meaningful because RX 9060 XT 16GB models rarely get discounted.

  • The card can deliver strong price-to-performance when ray tracing is not a deciding factor.

  • Real-world results show high frame rates on a 9700K, including 90+ FPS at max settings in Horizon Forbidden West.

  • The 9060 XT can be a better fit for older systems that lack PCIe 5.0 support.

  • Availability for pickup or shipment can vary widely by location, which can limit what condition units are actually obtainable.

  • Open-box purchases can carry a risk of receiving an 8GB version instead of the listed 16GB model.

  • Some AAA titles may rely on Nvidia GameWorks effects, which can run poorly on AMD GPUs until driver updates arrive.

  • Performance can drop substantially on PCIe 4.0 or older platforms for the 5060 series, so system compatibility matters for alternatives.

Showed they had one to pick up over 100 miles away for this price. YMMV if it's available to you locally.

What a the chances to get 8G instead of 16G in the box? There is the same looking model exists with just 8G?
Do they actually check what people return?
Microcenter has rx 9060 xt 16g for $350. Worth the risk?

If you are that paranoid just buy one new. The gpu has unique product identifying stickers on it, they have to have the iq of a rock to not be able to compare the stickers on the box to the ones on the gpu.

As long as RT isnt a make it or break it, this card is as good as it gets with regards to price/performance.

How are there so many a$$hats buying, opening, probably installing, then returning GPU's that there are enough to justify quantities large enough to warrant these kind of deals????
*Not, I'm not blaming the post nor anyone who buys open box items (I certainly do), but the behavior of people who buy-try-return as a freaking sport is just disgusting. People like this drive higher prices for everyone.

Depends on your existing hardware. They are very similar in overall performance, but have slightly different advantages. For me, my CPU is older, and the 9060 xt is supposed work better with it. My advice: feed all of your PC specs to an AI (or two or three, for comparison) and list a few games you want to play, and ask it which will work better with your system. It'll identify specific strengths and weak points of your existing build, might help you make the decision. At least, AI is better advice than randomly asking SD which GPU is better with no context - if anyone responds, the response will be biased by their brand and gaming preferences, and their own system configs.

I would take 5060 Ti 16GB over this. Mostly because of DLSS 4 being better and more widely supported. But that is if they are at the same price. Which begs the question, where would you get a 5060 Ti 16GB for $330?
