This is accurate. Bought this last year. Batteries start fading after 8-10 hours. It's a cool looking light but you'll be changing the batteries every other night. I snipped the battery pack off and attached a usb cable. Much happier now.

I did the same thing. Left the battery casing on for the switch. Now I can just flip it on and off. Just bought the grinch and plan on doing the same thing with it.
