This ACEMAGIC mini PC stands out as a compact Ryzen 7 system with unusually strong value for the included 32GB DDR5 and 1TB Gen4 SSD. The H 255 version is described as the better variant, with HDMI 2.1 for 4K at 120Hz, USB4 power delivery, and support for up to 128GB of RAM. The USB4 port also works with Thunderbolt eGPU docks, and the machine has room for storage upgrades. Main cautions are limited port convenience, possible bloatware or a reused Windows image, and the usual uncertainty around support and brand trust.

  • Home lab builders who want a compact Windows box for self-hosting, because the CPU and RAM headroom leave plenty of capacity for server-style workloads.

  • Users needing easy RAM and SSD expansion, because the system supports upgrades without the soldered-storage limits of many small computers.

  • Creators who want external GPU support, because the USB4 port can connect to a Thunderbolt eGPU dock.

  • Desk setups that need USB-C power input, because the USB4 port can accept 65W to 100W from a capable USB-C monitor or hub.

  • Single-PC Windows installers who need a frictionless setup, because missing network drivers can make Windows 11 installation and activation awkward.

  • People who want a low-maintenance computer with guaranteed vendor support, because warranty support may be limited and past malware concerns led some buyers to reinstall Windows.

  • Home Assistant-only setups, because this machine is far more powerful than that workload needs.

  • Video editors expecting the fastest external-GPU performance, because USB4 can work but may lose GPU performance versus Oculink or Thunderbolt 5.

Dude, you can install a modified Windows disk, by using tools like RUFUS or some other tools, by removing those security features, not the official MS Distro. For that, you need MS account and Internet connection and that's why Windows 11 does provide all the necessary drivers for Wireless and wired network cards.
You can do it without Rufus, Rufus is just an easy way.

Bypass the Requirement: You can bypass the "Let's connect you to a network" screen by pressing Shift + F10 and typing OOBE\BYPASSNRO at the command prompt.

https://community.frame.work/t/so...tion/51592

Windows 11 by default does not have every network driver needed.

Various Network cards often won't have included drivers in Windows 11. Many ways around it, but if someone only has one PC it can be problematic.

Yes there are other solutions. You could have a supply of external devices with known drivers. You could pre-download the drivers as a hedge. You could use a cellphone and tether an internet connection.

On an Interesting note.

Did you see the cloning part I mentioned which you can do by putting the SSd in a $20 enclosure? Now there may be issues, there may not be but the offical standard for Windows 11 or even 10 is to have Microsoft Account and support SSD upgrade or adding more SSD, no hacks, modded SSD needed which Any MACs don't support. Lets face the truth, replacing SSD or adding SSD is ultra simple in WIndows PCs even for basic users and nearly impossible to so in MAC for them. Lets not consider those hacked no-brand, no warranty, overpriced SSDs as a standard solution which you trying to preach. And searching Reddit for any specific problem will always have some results....that doe snot really prove any of your point.

Can I migrate my current ThinkCentre Windows 11 Pro (my current PC) to this PC without an issue? or need to install everything fresh?
Don't think so. Normally those are tied up to the BIOS of the PC. But this one is already having WIndows 11 Pro. So, not sure what you want to migrate in the 1st place?

Thank you. For migrating all my data and not needing to reinstall all my apps... but less relevant now since they don't have the model with RAM and SSD...

Not preaching anything. Someone who was already looking at a MAC asking for a comparison between the systems. Then "someone" said that MAC mini SSDs are not up-gradable and SSD's are soldered. Not sure why you are mentioning cloning but many people like to reinstall the OS on all new computers as first step. You dislike Mac options, but that doesn't mean it is not a good option for someone else.

So proving that people may need to download drivers(especially network) was the point since you said no one ever needs to download drivers. I am not sure installing windows via OBEE is considered hacking it is knowing the system given to you by Microsoft to fix various issues.

Many consider buying any Mini PC risky due to perceived possibly of lack of support. Yet lets have two set of rules.

You have said that the SSD is soldered on Mac Minis multiple times.

You have said that you have to have a windows account to install windows 11 multiple times.

You have said that Windows 11 includes all network drivers needed multiple times.

All of the above are wrong. I could easily list another reasonably sized list of your misstatements and non-understanding of computer systems and the software they run. I am not pro Mac, but your frequent erroneous statements and non-understand of computer systems and the software they run is problematic to open discussion.

Computers are simply tools and every consumers should be allowed to make their own mind up which system is best for them. The cost of productivity lost for using a system not well designed for one's personal work flow far exceed the cost difference of the platforms. This is before considering performance differences at various tasks.

SSD is not soldered in Macbook and I was wrong. But that does not matter in the 1st place because you can't just replace that with a SSD which you can buy. Instead you have to buy some shaddy reverse Enginnered overpriced no-warranty stuff, imported directly from China and even a lot of advanced users are not gonna do that. Even if you get that somehow, it is not that easy in the 1st place. But you made it your life mission to prove that upgrading SSD in Windows PC is as tough as Mac, which is childisg and ego problem mainly.
And I said MS Account is needed officially to use Windows 11 and that is a fact. There were bypass methods but not any officially supported ones. Those techniques you were telling, Microsft has been patching them with time to prevent it from happening. But that does not matter SSD and Ram upgrade context we were discussing, isn't it?
In my post I literally said people want to buy a Mac Mini as their mini PC, is perfectly fine, but they should understand the Ram and SSD scenario in Mac and that's it. And you, due to your lack of knowdlge and ego issue, posted constant nonsenses in all the posts to prove that is not the case. The fact, yes that is the case. In Windows Mini PCs, even the budget one like this, comes with 2 SSD slots and you can add extra one without any reason to install OS again (which you made your life goal to prove wrong). Even for replacing the SSD, and you need to isntall OS, things are pretty much straight forward. You constantly balbbered about driver issues and blah blah blah!. Man , anybody can put those in a USB Flash drive before replacing the SSD and then install it, to resolve any driver issue. But no, you blabbered about requiring a 2nd PC...why because for those shaddy SSD replacements in Mac, you need to have another MAC....

You can use a Windows 11 computer and officially never connect to the internet. Once again the issue is what you don't know. I don't consider using built in features to the OS hacking. OOBE and start ms-chx:localonly were built in by Microsoft.

It is a standard practice of many to always reinstall Windows when buying computers with the OS preinstalled. Now Many will work with vendors that have a clone copy of an OS install approved by the client, but the average consumer likely does not have access to such services. If you don't understand that I can't help you. 10 slots would not fix that issue.

My only point which you missed is that all systems have potential issues and I am not going to monitor every post and give every warning for everyone because it would take to long. I do find it ironic that you are complaining about items made in China when pretty much most Mini pc's are made there. The 8745 hs chip is considered a chip designed just for China to boot.

It all started by your misstatements about things you apparently know very little about.

You are again beating around the bushes, because the discussion was not about whether Internet connection is needed for Windows 11 to operate, was it? Looks like you are simply avoiding the actual topic. And Most average consumers do update their Windows Desktop or Mini PC or laptops with Ram and SSD, you probably in the below average class. Windows installation does not require any special service, even for average consumers.

You understand that if you aren't on the Internet you don't need a Microsoft account to use Windows 11? You can make a local only account and use the OS just fine. You can even then connect to the internet and still not be required to have a Microsoft account. You can even change a system from a Microsoft account to a local account at a later date. My only issue is your constant misstatements.

Rest is you trying to misdirect from your previously incorrect statements.

Naah, that was never the topic, is it? And what you saying, is again against your point that it is pretty easy to change the SSD in Windows compared to Mac.

I totally agree that a x86 PC is normally much easier to upgrade and likely the best option for most. The deal that was posted was a great deal considering ram price directions. I think they might be sold out now. Kinda sad I didn't get a good notebook deal this fall/winter, but I have three and they all work well for their needed tasks. Nice to get a computer were the ram almost pays for the entire system.

I did pick up a few mini systems this year as a hedge this year. Mainly from GMKTec, Acemagic and Aoostar. Normally I like Beelink, but they seemed a bit out of touch this year.

Who cares if you used Mac since the middle ages or not. Normally people with poor knowldge and ego problems, come with those analogies when countered with valid points. And Intel Mac used to have upgradable SSD and Ram for a very lobg time. And I still don't get the point how 24GB Ram Mac Mini is way cheaper. And those SSD links you have given, again, no normal users are goona do it, they probably even not aware of it. And those are literally more than twice the cost of a normal SSD, has no warranty and need to buy oversees without ant proper support, unlike any normal SSD which can just fit into the Windows Mini PCs. So, if you add those costs, it is not gonna be cheap, has no warranty and you analogy is againt faulty. Keep your "Using Mac since 1984" logic tourself, that des not make you any expert.
Looks like you need a Mac with spellcheck and with the ability to search this new thing called the Internet, so you can get yourself a little knowledge that you sorely lack. 😂
