Yall think a prescription from 2023 is still good enough for a pair of reading glasses or should I cough up for a new prescription? There's a cash type, no insurance place where the exam is around $30 or it was then. I'm still using a progressive set from same prescription.

Oh and Coupon code SALE38 seems to take more off than the black friday one and isn't expired.

Subtotal $15.00

Discount -$5.70
Total $9.30

*update* Cheap place is still $30 with eyeglass purchase but went to $50 for just the prescription. Typical.

Even adding the basic coatings for $8 it is still an excellent deal.
Rarely been disappointed by G4U. Some of the frames don't last forever. Still, slick compared to Optometrist charges.

Can you order simple "Reader" glasses without a prescription ?

And are they any better than what you would get at Walgreens etc off the rack ?

Thanks for the info
Better to buy those in store.

Can anyone suggest a source for Rx safety glasses?
If you don't care about ratings, side shields, frame collapse etc, polycarbonate lenses use the same less breakable material that safety glasses are made of. If you only have one eye or losing vision is more likely, polycarbonate lenses are likely a better choice for everyday use. PC lenses always have a scratch coating, but do clean and care properly, because it will wear away.

Thats what I am using now and happy with them but the frames do crack if you sit on them !

Once I find a style I like I buy a handful of them ,

But I was just hoping these were 3 times better and worth the extra $$$

I've bought bifocal reading glasses from Amazon but they break very easily. Can anyone suggest a frame style from G4U that is on sale AND durable? Thanks.

Great price for just frames with basic glasses. However, the upcharge for lenses and coatings is still wild. Edited for typo.

I've bought from RXSafety before with good results. My cost was around $80-90 at the time.

Just received my pair. I was expecting weeks or months to receive them, got them in days. Frames are light, but still stylish. Prescription is spot on. I even opted for one of the more expensive pair of frames, still only 30 bucks all in.

Wild.
Thanks OP!

has anyone minimized the extras / coatings to stay close to posted price, and Liked the results? Like to do that, but get the necessary coatings to keep them usable for over a year, any advice appreciated
(for example, I'm on screens constantly, so need the blue-filter coating)
