I have the 2 and if you compare it to an Apple Watch, you're going to be disappointed. If you want a lightweight, really great screen that does basic watch, weather, and notifications then this is a pretty good option. The 2 also has really great battery life. I picked mine up off Amazon for less than $20 but that was the previous model and open box. I use it when I want a watch but might be in a situation where the watch might get bumped or scratched easier than normal.
Reddit discussions on the CMF Watch Pro 3 invariably have people recommending Amazfit (Bip 6 or Active 2) instead, as the CMF watches are unreliable and glitchy. The hardware is similar, but Amazfit's software is much more polished.
All of these are much less functional than something like an Apple Watch - it's like comparing old dumb phones to current smartphones - but being limited to notification mirroring, Bluetooth calls, calendar & weather sync, and exercise counts allows them to have battery life measured in weeks (I haven't charged my Amazfit since 12/14 and it's got 15% charge left).
CMF Watch 3 Pro comes across as a lightweight smartwatch for basic time, weather, notifications, and casual use, with a smooth interface and a crown that feels good to use. Battery life is the standout, with real world reports ranging from a few days to well over a week, far beyond daily charging. The main cautions are weaker fitness accuracy, limited weather syncing unless location stays on, and some concerns about app privacy and software polish. It looks best suited to simple smartwatch duties rather than full Apple Watch style features.
Commuters wanting a lightweight watch for notifications and weather, because it handles basic smartwatch tasks with strong battery life.
At this price point, several comments point to Amazfit Active 2 as the safer pick because its software is described as more polished and its battery life is measured in weeks. The CMF Watch 3 Pro is framed as a lighter basic watch for notifications, weather, and time, but with more limited smartwatch features.
Real-world battery life is reported as a few days to a couple of weeks depending on settings and use. One owner said it was still at 77% after being worn overnight, another charges every couple of weeks, and another gets only a few days rather than the advertised 13 days.
Yes. It is positioned as a lightweight watch for basic time, weather, and notifications, not as a full Apple Watch replacement, and it is also described as less functional than Apple Watch while offering much longer battery life.
It appears to work better with Android than iPhone for smart features and notification handling. On iPhone, alerts can be dismissed on the watch but still remain on the phone, which makes the experience less seamless than on Android.
It can be comfortable for many wrists, but bony wrists may feel pressure from the dome-shaped rear sensors. One user reported extreme pain after 1-2 hours and switched to an Amazfit Bip 6 because the flatter sensor design spread pressure better.
so the samsung watch is just garbage 1.5 days battery while it doesnt allow to use some function without using samsung phone , so amazon fit would b great alternative???
Yeah hopefully this one is better than WP2. That one couldn't even sync weather properly with my Android phone, even though I had the Nothing app and bluetooth was enabled and connected...The watchfaces were also pretty limiting and only one was appealing from the limited selection. Seeing the Reddit post I'd be ready to return this and get Amazfit if you don't end up liking their idea of a smartwatch.
Got this for $30 in November and it's a great watch and I charge it every couple of weeks versus my Apple watch and galaxy watch 7 that need to be charged daily.
- I have this and my Apple Watch paired to my iPhone. Only use the Apple Watch during my workouts and this the rest of the day. Not that it can't track my workouts but just out of habit and preference

FYI while this thing's functionality is alright, if you have boney wrists it can become extremely PAINFUL. I couldn't wear this longer than 1-2 hours at a time without extreme pain. I got an Amazfit Blip 6 instead and I don't have the same problem. It mainly comes from the fact that the sensors on the back are "dome" shaped so it puts all the pressure on a single point rather than spread out like a normal flat sensor. I personally wouldn't pay $1 for this design.

Any watch with less than 5 days of battery life should be out of consideration. Many people don't think about this, battery degradation happens on watches too, just like any battery-powered devices. 24 hours new? It's more like 21-22 hours after 1 year of usage. Think about how many times you look at the watch to tell time, and it's already dead before you know it, much less to take / measure your basic vitals.
And to those who trade-in watches every year or two, how much do you spend over 5 or 6 years?
Nothing watch is good at telling time with 14 days battery life on paper... but it really does nothing well.
So to summarize, Apple may be good at software and ecosystem, but the battery life sucks; Nothing is good for basic stuff but lacks the precision, UX (not the same as UI) and ecosystem.
You can consider Amazfit for this lower price point and battery life, but still very much a 'disposable' type of watch. It costs more initially but I didn't have to pay another penny for 6 years. Now I'm on Fenix E and got a great deal last November / December.
If you're willing to pay more for Samsung and Apple products, may as well get a Garmin. I used my Fenix 5s for 6 years before the altimeter sensor dies, and the battery life dropped from 7 to 5 days after 6 years of ownership, wearing it daily.
