This ski machine has some negative reviews, mostly related to packaging and also supposedly lousy instructions. The unit itself gets nice reviews.

I got the real thing, Concept2 Skierg. Also paid $1200 for it. Worth every penny. I used it to prepare for Hyrox races in Anaheim and Vancouver. Have another in Vegas in Feb.

FyI, get a letter of medical necessity from your provider and you can use HSA funds and reimburse yourself for it.

I bought this around Black Friday. Instructions do suck I ended up watching a tutorial on how to put concept 2 so erg together and it was pretty easy.

I paid ~250 for it and it's been worth every penny so far. I use it for warm ups and just do the interval settings it has. I can't comment much else on the actual metrics or w.e it uses as I don't care and don't use it.

If you want a ski erg that works well and is smooth like concept 2 for this price it's a no brainer imo.

What is the assembled height? Trying to figure out if I could fit it in my old house's low basement.

I purchased 3 of these Skiergs in December. While the packaging for all three units was subpar upon arrival, I am satisfied with the products function as intended. The units did not come with any decent instructions, but the online tutorial for Concept 2 provided a easy workaround. Additionally, one of the units was missing a bolt and a nut, which required me to visit Home Depot for a replacement, costing about $2. Despite these minor issues, the overall experience with the machine is nice and smooth.

Anyone know if I can take off the base and wall mount this? I am short on floor space
you can with the Concept2 official version. This seems like basically a 1-for-1 knockoff, soooooo, it's probably a safe bet?

Just got mine today and put it together. Yes, it comes with wall mounting hardware if it doesn't fall out of the box.My box came fairly damaged as other reviewers have mentioned with one entire corner flapping... big enough for whole parts to fall out. Overall a few scratches but put together easily and functions perfectly fine like a skierg. Yes instructions are garbage but it's easy enough to put together if you have common sense and have put together ikea furniture.

Edit: I lied. It came with floor mounting kit not wall. But you can take it apart and get the kit from concept2, it looks like the same mounting spot.

Have you ever used a Concept Skierg? If so, how does it compare?

Thanks.

My 15ish year old WaterRower finally blew the tank.. Might try skiing in place at this price. Wall mounting is a huge plus.
