Good gosh almighty. Are we really seeing these prices for memory now? Looks like I'm holding on to my devices a bit longer instead of any upgrades in 2026

I feel bad for anyone who didn't build or buy their system before RAM prices went through the roof.

It's going to get worse as every company is going AI and companies are transitioning to B2B

Thanks, I bought a new case and cpu cooler then the ram prices went bonkers as I was looking for a new mobo, cpu, and ram bundle. My last build is from 2020 and it was rough trying to find a new gpu.
Just wait it out. Like all things the prices will eventually fall. The AI bubble will eventually burst. same with the graphic cards and bit coin mining. Just give it time.

It will only get worse. GPUs were different as it was a demand driven story but ram is both a demand and supply driven story. Micron pulled out of consumer and so will the other manufacturers since consumer side is not as profitable. AI has just begun as companies have only just started to adopt AI and have driven incredible efficiency. The future will be base low storage ram so local processes and paying a cloud subscription model like the one nvidia is already launching and Foundry
Nice going AI, ruined it for your average gamer. First it's the gpu, now its the nand chips,. What next ? If its not bugs, issues with the connector of the high power 12 volt , cpu comes doa either by the game or a software. The games aren't much better, overpriced and underdeveloped with cheaters, hackers, modders, and behind pay walls , forget it. Overpriced overall experience
