Is it much better than a similar one at $30s in Amazon and why?

I haven't seen an Eufy with a solar cam for $30. I've seen some for $50. However, this has a bigger panel and has pan-tilt zoom.

There are lot of non Eufy similar solo cameras at $30s at Amazon. Why should people pay $100 instead of $30s to buy Eufy? What is it good?

Thanks ordered 2 shipped which is better trying to find them in store. Attempted twice during the holiday and couldn't get it. Ordered from Amazon for $99 renewed and still lost in shipment. This will be better deal new with better return policy
What is the return policy for Costco for this item?

Deal must be dead since it's showing full price when going to check out. I wonder if they're basing the price on EST zone since it expires at 1/1/2026, despite it still be before that time in PST zone.

If it's like their doorbell cams I'll pass. It misses things constantly and files go missing all the time. Terrible tech.

Not a bad deal at all for the functionality and quality, but the newer eufy S4 camera is what these should have been all along (though the wireless solar version of that is $300 / camera currently).

https://a.co/d/gK3DxjT

I have 2 of these - pretty good camera quality, even in low light, and the 3x zoom is nice to actually pickup detail of objects further away.

The one I have facing south with ideal placement (no shade throughout the day) always remains at 100% charge even with significant # events detected. The other which faces west and under some shade (not ideal) needs to be charged about every month or so to top up. Not terrible, but annoying since I have it mounted up high by the street and you have to remove the whole camera to charge.

Which brings us to the downsides that the new S4 fixes. First - this only detects where the camera is facing, it has no out of view detection. The S4 now has a wide view fixed camera that basically gives you 180 degrees of detection. This is helpful for situations where there are multiple targets you might want to capture or track. This also allows for potentially even greater field of coverage (such as on the corner of a house / nearly 270 degrees) if you position the fixed camera facing one way and the pan / tilt camera facing the other in their default positions. Secondly - the battery is within the camera, which doesn't bode well for replacement down the line, as well as needing to take the entire camera down while it's charging. The S4 has a separate battery bay you can hot swap for near continuous coverage, with much easer accessibility and replace ability down the line when the battery is old.

Lastly - The 3x zoom (while good) is still borderline on the ability to capture finer details like a license plate number from a distance (my camera is about 10ft high and 20ft from the driveway entrance). The S4 has 8x zoom which is ideal, even from very far away. It also seems to do a much better job auto framing subjects when it's zoomed in (sometimes the 3x captures only the bottom half of a car and the 1x captures the top half on this camera).

As a bonus (while not a big issue for me since I use homebase with larger storage) the S4 has a microSD card for larger / cheap on device storage. My existing placement for one of my cameras is on the edge of the range of my WiFi. It usually works and connects fine, but sometimes during bad weather it can have limited or slow connection drops. Having larger in device storage ensures those events still get saved and captured (especially if you have it plugged in and enable 24/7 recording - which the S4 also supports and these don't, even if plugged in to power).

I tried at 8:45PST and it didn't work. I just bought it and submitted a price match. Wonder if it will happen.

I will say this is a little better than the doorbells. I agree. My Eufy doorbell misses things constantly. Doesn't always trigger a call to my phone when doorbell is rang. Overall not happy with the doorbells. I'm mildly satisfied with the cameras. These are better, albeit it does still miss things sometimes.

Is this solar ? how long battery last ?
I have a Solocam without the pan/tilt. The solar panel on mine is built into the top of the camera. It works good for half the year. The other half of the year I can't get enough sunlite so I have to charge it once a year when the battery get low. Outside of this it's good. Btw my Solocam has a small solar panel than this one so this one might work better.
