bought one as usual annually lol. I have notice when I used Home and Business version to file, the state filed cost 19.99 vs the Premier $24.99 (my own exp last 20+ years using both vers back and forth) But this year it stated $40 in the Amazon description for Premier

No promotional credits allowed that sucks.. The version without the amazon gift card allows it. Makes the deal no so hot if your like me and sitting on $30 on promotional credits.

It's still a good deal, just use your promotional credits on something else.

Also, my Amazon Visa was charged like $32, I wonder if I will still receive the gift card also. I bought deluxe, via Amazon

I ordered earlier this morning before they $10 gift card was available. I called Amazon and was able to repurchase the item and get the gift card. They gave me a little bit of a hard time though because the item is non refundable. Given that I have not called Amazon about any issues in years they made an exception and allowed me to repurchase and refunded me the original purchase.

You can only use them with the version that does NOT come with the Amazon GC which is offered at the same price as the version with the $10 GC

If you don't use any extra features from Inuit then the Costco version might not be worth it.

You can skip the state efile fee by printing it out and mailing it to your state. Refunds take longer. But depending on the state it you owe money you can submit it online and not write a check.

This needs to be filed by Feb end, or price will go up, right?
Not with desktop AFAIK. Are you referring to the state filing fee?

Check your visa or amex offers. You may have $20 off $40 on turbotax directly. Combined with the Fidelity offer of 25% or 30% off, that would be cheaper
Has anyone tried this? The link for getting fidelity prices is different than the affiliate link thru my amex card, and chase so I feel like they wouldnt honor the offer

TurboTax Desktop requires Windows 11. This is just a heads up in case you prefer to stay on Windows 10.

Costco site says 2/8
Amazon says 14 hours left.
It's all right there when you open the links

I, reluctantly, still use TurboTax because it imports directly from my brokerages and makes some of the more complex data entry easier. I use the Deluxe version. Even though it doesn't "offer guidance" into some of these items, it still imports and generates the proper forms. Hopefully by next year, I'll be able to switch over to something else like FreeTaxUSA.
I'm with you. Reluctant to switch and sit there scatterbrained and frustrated with something new. I'm pretty simple minus the investments. I hear mixed things whether freetaxusa imports brokerage direct or you have to do it manually.
