Gone...
It was a one day deal on Amazon with the gift card. You can still buy it without the gift card.

i'm guessing this will also not allow you to install the software on up to 5 computers like the offline version
That's correct.

ChatGPT confirms this 100%. Key point is the last line.

When you would want an accountant
You generally only need one if you have:
Rental property
A side business / 1099 income
Significant investments, stock options, RSUs, or complex capital gains
Multiple states with complicated residency issues
Trusts, estates, or large tax planning needs

If you're just working a job and getting paid a salary → software is optimal.

This deal is for the download/desktop version, which can be installed on 5 computers (using the same Intuit account).

Damn, I missed it. Historically, does this deal come back around on Amazon before the tax deadline?
Not that I can recall; the price break window doesn't normally pop back up either [I have been burned by this in years past].

I wasn't sifting through 49 pages of "use this or that" or "deal dead". Just wanted to post that:

TurboTax 2025 ONLY works with Windows 11

Yes Windows 10 is considered "obsolete", but many people did not upgrade or force upgrade to a newer 6th Gen pc to allow the Malware/Ad ridden Windows 11 controlling OS on their computer(s)... and Win10 works fine. If that's you (like me on most of my personal pc's even though they can handle Win11 just fine), then be warned.

That's unfortunate

Dead on Amazon. Costco still has the deal with $10 in-app purchase credit instead of e-gift card.
Can the in app credits be used on Costco or it's only for TurboTax?

I mean… it says it's an in-app purchase credit right there…

Its an in-app credit, not an e-gift card. So you can only use that in the TT app for upgrades or state e-file fees etc.

Amazon...why do you have to send physical gift card? eGiftcard should be enough. No difference in the end for me but makes things simpler.

The government ought to provide intuitive and accessible free software for tax filers.
