This Acer Nitro 27 inch MiniLED 4K 160 hertz refurb stands out for strong HDR, good colors, and a fast panel when it arrives intact. The MiniLED backlight can look excellent after some settings tweaks, and high refresh rates are available over DisplayPort. The main concern is quality control and shipping, with reports of cracked screens, damaged boxes, and units that needed exchanges or refunds. Some units also showed dim local dimming, haloing, stuck pixels, or firmware quirks, so it is best suited to buyers willing to gamble on refurb condition.

ordered one a few weeks ago. Took a week to ship out, arrived broken. No exchange process. I have read this happened to multiple people.

I bought one of these a few months ago and here are my thoughts.
It took about four different exchanges to get one that was not fully damaged. All of them arrived with the screen completely shattered even though the box was intact. On the last one that wasn't broken, they beefed up the packaging some and I guess that was the problem.

The screen itself is OK. It's way too dark for me, and especially if you use dark mode, the entire panel gets pretty dim. The colors look good and the refresh rate is nice, but it's just too dark. If there was a way to disable the local dimming, I would do that. There's a pretty bad halo around your mouse pointer if you're looking at a dark screen.

For the price, it's not bad, but I definitely wouldn't pay any more than this.

I literally just packed mine back up to return them. I bought two. One worked fine but I could tell the screen on the other was broken before I even turned it on.

Acer does not package these well. Mine came in a thin cardboard box with corner bubble wrap around the monitor, but basically no other padding or protection inside.

The boxes weren't even fully closed before they were shipped out. One of the boxes had about a half-inch gap, taped, at the top opening. The other had a massive tear running down one corner. I'm honestly surprised it didn't completely rip open and leave the monitor somewhere along the journey.

The one monitor that worked looked good and it does come with a two-year warranty, but Acer said it doesn't do exchanges and since I want matching monitors and don't want to deal with another lottery, I decided to return both. YMMV.

Don't buy this, I ordered it weeks ago and it just came with a giant crack. Return process was easy but they would not exchange.

I ordered during the last sale during November, and man it's a dumb monitor. It's glitching and everything with stuck dimming zones. Currently in chat with them to get a refund. The monitor doesn't even auto detect the inputs properly either and you'd have to turn it off, wait 1-3 minutes, then turn it back on again. Even then, it gets stuck in a black screen and I had to memorize the buttons to reset the entire thing through the onboard settings. When it worked, it was good but the refurbished one I received has too much annoyances. Luckily it was cheap compared buying new.... It also had HORRRIBLE glow, but suddenly fixed itself 1 weeks later with it off. I'm so confused with this monitor. I'd stay away. I only bought it because people were raving about it but I guess refurbish units are hit or miss, especially on eBay. Hopefully Acer helps me with this situation. Am waiting on a reply right now.

Bought this one weeks ago. It's slow to be shipped and arrived in a damaged box.The color looks very weird on the unit I received and then I saw a big pink spot that is only visible on dark background (probably stuck pixels, idk). Will return for a full refund.

Happened to me when I bought a similar Acer refurb gaming monitor last year. Was sent a monitor that clearly was a return that had not been repaired. Returned it for a refund but I'm done buying Acer refurb monitors. Can't speak for their other refurb products like laptops and desktops.

I ordered from them just before Christmas. The base had minor shipping damage, but since I use a dual monitor stand it didn't matter and the monitor itself looked brand new.

I also bought two refurbished units from them last year, and both arrived in like new condition with no shipping damage.
