I currently have 4 OLED TVs and an OLED computer monitor in my house. Don't make me buy another one.

I'm just a home theater enthusiast. At the time, I've invested in a Sony XBR CRT, Samsung HD CRT, Toshiba HD projection TV, Sony XBR projection TV, Panasonic Plasma, LG OLED, Sony OLED. Love the black levels and color detail that OLED offers. Live in a 1200 square foot house. I have to keep my first LG OLED around because it can do 3D😂

I just got the same TV at Micro Center refurbished in 65 inch for $900 before taxes. This is a fantastic tv and well worth the upgrade from my Walmart Phillips. The picture is vivid, the blacks are perfect, and the gaming is incredible.

Depends how close you're sitting. C4 and C5 have dithering to try to stop black crush and it sucks.
Interesting. Guess I'm hanging on to my C2 for a monitor then. Only slight reason I envy the C4/C5 is the higher PC gaming MHz at 144 but a 32" 180MHz monitor scratches my FPS itch when needed.

Since I was called a liar earlier those are the two that I bought with the prices I paid. The 65 inch S90D's that the store on Glenwood Ave in Raleigh had in stock on December 10th, I didn't buy. There were two of them.

so this would work well as a computer monitor for work and gaming?
Yes. I've been using a C2 for a monitor for a few years and a C5 for one year. If black levels (black is actually black and not dark gray), contrast, and HDR are important to you then you will love it for gaming. I tried out an Alienware OLED monitor last year for comparison, and the brightness limitations (~400 nits for the monitor versus ~800 nits of the C2 and C5) made HDR content lose a lot of the punch it should have.
For work, there are some slight text clarity issues due to the way the sub-pixels are laid out, but I rarely notice it. The only potential issue would be burn-in if the work you do involves the same bright image being up on a part of the screen all of the time. From the testing done by a lot of places though, modern OLEDs take a long time to burn-in. My solution is to set the SDR brightness to 40 or less and to minimize to an all black desktop whenever I'm not actively working on the screen.

Interesting at $684, but 'not sure $200 off new is enough of a discount. Showing available new for $897 at Best Buy. Both open box and new are available locally for me.

Keeping an eye out for OLED deals, but still loving the picture of my seemingly bulletproof 42" Panasonic Plasma… however not loving its heater and power company bill eater "features".

I would be on the fence even if new was this price. I don't think I'd want open box for still almost $700 when the new ones will be under $900 im sure.
