Probably discounted because the next model has been announced, having a bigger screen and double the refresh rate.

Samsung's glasses free 3D Odyssey monitor bundle stands out for making 3D gaming and video feel genuinely usable on a regular screen. The 3D effect is described as impressive, and the panel can handle a wide range of 3D sources, from side by side YouTube clips to 3D Blu ray rips, with 2D to 3D conversion sounding smooth for most content. The main hesitation is value, since it is still a regular IPS panel and competes with OLED or Mini LED options near the same price. Stock also appears to be gone, so availability may be the biggest hurdle.

  • The deal timing can align with a clearance-style discount before a newer Odyssey model arrives.

    shamanthvijayShadowMillions

  • Glasses-free 3D features can feel impressive during normal gaming and viewing.

    syndragore

  • The monitor can reportedly run multiple 3D source types, including SBS YouTube and 3D Blu-ray rips in VLC.

    Spongeboy

  • The 2D-to-3D AI conversion reportedly works seamlessly for many kinds of content.

    Spongeboy

  • The glasses-free 3D experience may feel gimmicky depending on the available 3D content.

    zer0ladXesjah

  • The panel remains an IPS, which can make OLED or Mini LED harder to choose at this price.

    DealhunterPNW

  • Stock can be unavailable, and restocking may not happen for the deal item.

I want to grab one of these at some point down the line. Glad to see glasses free 3D finally make it's way to regular screens.

I've been watching a bunch of reviews since I'm also thinking about getting it. Seems like ~15 games with some big names like black myth wukong, stellar blade, etc. Samsung promises there's more to come. Also it can apparently handle pretty much any 3D video content out there, from SBS youtube videos to playing 3D blu ray rips in VLC. Also, every review I've seen claims that Samsung's 2D to 3D AI conversion is pretty decent and works seamlessly for most content.

Probably a clearance sale as a newer version is on the way. If anyone wanted this model this is the best time to get it.
