They're just more compact so easier to carry around. Slim bottle and slim lid so I prefer it for ease of stuffing it into my purse. And it does keep as cold as other brands. But would be very hard to get cubes of ice into it so if you want ice, go with another brand with wide opening.

This brand has been around a very long time. Only issue we've had is over years of use, the old threading/housing comes detached from the insulated insert. Eventually, we throw them away because we can't trust that the lid went on all the way. This happened on maybe 5 of the 6 we bought or received as gifts. Not from a single lot of 6 we bought that was maybe bad.

One note: I think we used the dishwasher periodically and that could be the issue with the lids...

I have one of these bottles that was given to me as a gift in 2017 and it still works great. No issues with the threading but I always hand wash it.
