Smaller by about 17% than the normal pro controller, no nfc reader for amiibo or rumble, although the smaller form factor might make ideal for kids

I hate that the wake up functionality was 90% of the reason I got the new pro controller lol. I have become such a sloth as a result

This two pack is a budget wireless controller set for Switch and Switch 2 that seems aimed at casual play and kids. The smaller, lighter shape is comfortable for some hands, gyro works, and the price makes it easy to hand out or replace. The tradeoffs are clear, though, with no rumble, no NFC or amiibo support, no hall effect sticks, and reports that it cannot wake the console. PC support also looks shaky, and the included cable count is only one for the pair.

  • The controllers can feel lightweight and comfortable for everyday use and kid use.

  • The controllers can provide wireless play with gyro support for casual games.

  • The 2-pack can be paired without a second cable by holding the Home button.

  • The deal can become very cheap when rewards are applied with free shipping.

    BBLDRIZZY

  • The controllers reportedly cannot wake the console by pressing the home button.

    qsubPeterS2865

  • The controllers lack rumble and do not include an NFC amiibo reader.

    aznmnky92simonheros

  • The controllers may feel cheaply made with small size and weaker button feel.

    Hawaiiana

  • The controllers may not work as expected on Steam for Windows even in wired mode.

In for 1. Annoyed the old Switch 1 Pro controllers can't "wake up" the console by pressing the home button. It looks like this should be able to do it otherwise will return if not.

Edit: looks like it cannot wake the console by pressing the home button. Going to return.

What makes you think this controller can? The only third party option that has figured it out is 8bitdo and it requires a shake function.

Nope. This is the first product in history with only upsides. Seriously though at that price for two it seems to be worth the gamble. Worst case you can return them.

I don't know if it does, I am just hoping it does. Will return if it does not. Looks like a new SKU as I never seen it before that is why I think it will.

Not hall effect, no rumble (according to listing), battery doesn't seem to be easily replaceable.

Super basic but a solid price. You can get wired 8BitDo controllers that are ~$18 or less each on sale with hall effect that may be better for most people if you don't mind wired.

These were two small for me personally, so I returned them. Doesn't hurt to order and see if they will work for you
