Great price and the slim is better for looking down sights.

Perfect timing. I shoot a lot of sporting clays and trap and am a bit tired of my old Sonic ear plugs and Walker's are very popular.

I use these with my muzzle loader and I like them. The volume knob can be a bit finicky with gloves but otherwise they just work.

Wish these were directional like the howard leight impact sports. Not knowing which direction the sound is coming from make these pretty useless. Might as well just get cheap passive ear pro

I have these. As a beginner just make sure you pull the muffs all the way down and all the way out. Test before needing them and make sure you seat them on your ear properly.

I almost never see people shooting clays with muffs. It interferes too much with your mount. Maybe it'll work out for you, but there's a reason the vast majority of clay shooters use in-ear hearing protection and not muffs.

FWIW, 23db of reduction is solid. However, no amount of hearing protection will stop the blast wave from hitting you. I wish silencers were legal in my state. I'd fire 100% subsonic silenced.

We use these for Nascar races. Drowns out the sound really well and allows you to plug in the radio so you can listen to the drivers.

My only issue is that if I wear them with my glasses, I get a headache. It doesn't hurt my ears, but something about the pressure points eventually gives me a headache. No issues without glasses.

FYI for those interested in this product. I'm not sure if they changed the material for the cup of earmuffs, but because they use a rubbery type of plastic, after a while they start to get sticky like a very thin coat of glue. The head band and cushion portions are fine though.

Ps. I store mine in a HF plastic ammo box on a shelf in a cool and dry closet.

There are replacement ear pads made out of gel that are much softer and could possibly help ease those pressure points.

I got some just because I wanted to have a better seal around the shooting glasses I wear.

Haven't shot with them yet but they are surprisingly soft.

I have a couple of these and a couple of the Howard Leight, I have setups for guests and my wife and kids. They are pretty comparable, the batteries last a long time and they're comfortable enough. I always use earplugs as well. It's nice to be able to have a reasonable conversation while at the range with your hearing protection still on. Love em.

LOL, say what? These low profile muffs have been around for years and are popular. Best you visit a large shoot or tournament. My guess is about 60/70% use ear plugs and the rest ear muffs. www.youtube.com/watch?v=CV4z0ixa4rE www.youtube.com/watch?v=dEXiRM-qMr4 www.youtube.com/watch?v=BP69x_dEKtA
