The grid, that fragile, humming web we all depend on, has finally given up the ghost. The neighborhood is plunged into a sudden, medieval darkness. The silence is deafening, broken only by the frantic, internal monologue of a man whose digital nervous system has just been severed. The phone is dying. The laptop is a useless brick. The world has shrunk to the size of a single, dark room.

This is too puny for the apocalypse.

At that point, this thing would be the equivalent of a paperweight.

I have a 288Wh pecron. When the power went out I was able to hook my my Fios Router to it and would've had internet access for quite some time... Power came back on after a couple hours. Working from home, that's useful.

Of course it can also charge phones many times, tablets, etc.

I have a slightly larger Bluetti 300Wh and it powered my Mac Mini which sips power and 34" monitor and my Comcast home gateway (router & modem). All of that was running about 83 watts and was projected to last 3.5 hours but I shut down the monitor and the Mac Mini after an hour or so and the Mac went to idle and then it was only using about 30 watts and had another 5-6 hours. Near as I can remember.

tips: turn brightness down as much as you can stand. Wyze cam, 32" very old Samsung LED tv, HD fire stick, modem, led clock, mid size hepa on mid speed. Wattage went from 89 to 53 by turning down the brightness to zero (it's for the security cameras and can still see everything at zero). When using my 55" dirt cheap TCL TV, wattage went up to 139 at full brightness. Turning brightness down to 50% lowered wattage to 110.

Refrigerator 88.8 watts. Mine does a third of a kWh a day. Larger families probably half a kWh.
Charging laptop 40w
a decent fan to circulate air 30w
led light bulb 9w if day/white. 8w if night/yellow.

for $60 you can get a used 300w solar panel on FB Marketplace. $10 for wiring. Can store against a wall and break out when needed to charge the battery. Or mount for $5 with z clips and get free electricity so the battery pack starts paying for itself.
sorry to be chatty. in a 'good mood'.

Oh, I find it all interesting and I thank you for the help.

This is actually our first power outage beyond flickers or a few seconds since I bought the unit in August. I think it was off for 2.5 hours and the battery was only down to 75-80% so it recharged in maybe 15 minutes. I love how these Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries charge so much faster than say a APC UPS with a lead acid.
