I would not buy cheap olive oil. Even cheap olive oil is still waay more expensive than soybean oil or canola oil, and really the quality and origin is so suspect, why bother? Just get the soybean oil.

Of course being health advocate, I wouldn't touch these poisons (known as PUFA or "vegetable oil") with a thousand foot pole. They are often called Liquid Death for a reason. (see this eye opening video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rQmqVVmMB3k)

Buy the good stuff, pay the money for it. Italians and Spaniards don't mess around, they take their olive oil seriously. In fact it's in their law, you can't mix olive oil and soybean oil and sell it as olive oil in those countries, as you can in the USA. Over there, if you call your product extra virgin olive oil, it must be extra virgin olive oil and nothing else. So I trust Made in Italy or Made in Spain extra virgin olive oil that is 100% sourced from that specific country (Italy or Spain). Yes this costs more but if you shop carefully at Costco, you can find these 100% Italian or 100% Spainish extra virgin olive oil that's sold under Kirkland brand for a decent price.

The last time we had this deal, it was so bitter I had to throw it away. Well, they refunded me without having to return it though
I don't know about the particular batch you purchased, but IME, good olive oil tastes bitter due to the presence of Polyphenols. I worry when EVOO doesn't taste bitter.

Botticelli EVOO is $9.99 for 50.7oz at ShopRite (probably other grocery stores).

Missed it i guess. That was a solid deal, but I'm headed for glass containers going forward with all the micro plastics in these liquid products. Sometimes its better to just pay the piper.

Yup probably mixed with canola for sure.
Pretty messed up that Amazon doesn't do more about this. Imagine fake products getting into Walmart or Targets supply chain.

They also have that same problem with olive and avocado oil, no one testd these after purchasing.
