Change your expired account's phone number to something else before creating a new account.
Reason: If/when you need to access your new account via their kiosk, online, or via any cashier entering your phone number (how they look you up) you may have or create problems.
If you tell a cashier your number and they say: Wow you have 15 accounts, which one? And you will need them to find the currently active one (for example).
Then you need to figure out which one to tell them to use and they may report you for scamming thier system.
Regardless, it is good housekeeping to have only one account linked to your main phone number at a time.
Next thing that is the best to do is use either a virtual card that expires or has a low limit, or a MC/VS gift card with a low balance. This way, in addition to setting yourself a calendar reminder to quit (do not cancel until you are in the last free month), you have a failsafe to avoid getting renewed at full price.
1) Set a calendar reminder that once you have started your final free month's cycle, you can cancel weeks before it lapses, and it will continue to be active through the current monthly cycle you are in.
2) Use a virtual card with a small limit and/or an early exp date so they cannot charge you, even if you forget to cancel.
3)OR use a small balance MC/VS gift card. I keep a couple of those around for this purpose.
You can get them for no fee when Staples etc offers that deal. I believe they currently have Fee Free MCs?
Plus I earn 5% CB or points when buying them, from the Office Supply category spend with my Chase Ink CC, or my Amex Simply Cash Business card.

Only thing I haven't tried is another phone number. Okay to just change a digit in my number??
Anyone else getting the error message?
Edit:
Still no luck, but to answer my own question above, you must use a valid phone number as it texts you a code to log in again. Would need this to cancel the subscription later.
You may want to try a different email altogether if that is not your issue. Or a different name, or credit card that is not on a prior account. YMMV

if you use their app, yes, all drinks are free, unlimited refills. no need to buy anything else.
you can get like 5 cups at the end of the day to fill up your tub. just place an order every 2 hrs. start in the morning. 1 order every 2 hrs. choose pickup time at 5pm. then you can have all 5 cups waiting for you when you get out of work. make sure to change the drink size all to LARGE.
You DO NOT have to use the app. You can order from online via their website, in person, either from a kiosk if available, or by giving the cashier your phone number to pull up your account. OR from the App.
You phrased it otherwise. Those are not "inactive gmail burner accounts". They are variations on just one gmail account (which can be actively used/monitored, or inactive), which all go with/to that account. So sure, you consider them burner emails for that account. Now I know that's what you meant.
And it was not a lecture. It was meant as a friendly and helpful tip. Glad you already knew what I said, and now, I understand what you really meant. Had you phrased it correctly, I wouldn't have tried to help you. No good deed goes unpunished.
The good news is that now this made FP, some people are actually repping the OP.
Bottom line. I think their system was having some issues.
I've been doing this since post-covid when they started these deals. My last deal expired on 12/28 - 6 days ago. I haven't gone more than 2 months without an active free panera sip account using these tricks for the past 3-4 years.

My process is to remove the phone number from the old account by editing it to a fake number, something like 111-111-1111. Then I create a new account with a new email ([email protected] trick) and same phone number. I use a Privacy credit card for all the accounts so I can set a limit and pause it to prevent the subscription from renewing, but I don't think that's required.
I've started a google sheets to start tracking whether or not each account has been cleaned out, and to know what to make for the next one
