The Creality K2 Combo is a fast, beginner-friendly multicolor printer that can be easy to get printing through Creality's store and cloud. The combo and auto Z setup are described as a big step up from older Ender models, with solid results on long runs and far less tinkering than earlier Creality machines. The main concern is reliability, since the K2 line is described as hit or miss, with hotend clogs and other frustrating failures on some units. Costco's return policy lowers the risk, making it a more comfortable way to try it.
3D printing buyers who want to take a chance on a Creality K2 specifically because Costco returns/refunds reduce the risk if it doesn't work out for them.
First-time 3D printer owners who want an easy on-ramp and don't mind relying on Creality's store/cloud workflow because one owner said they had no failed prints and found it super easy to get started.
People who are okay with occasional maintenance and want a Creality K2 that's been "solid" for them because one commenter said their K2 Plus has been solid and that newer Creality models require much less attention than older Ender models.
Buyers who want a "just works" multicolor experience because commenters reported Bambu combo units can have AMS hardware issues and that technical/customer service support was poor, which can turn into a bad time if the hardware/support aren't reliable.
People who don't want to spend nights troubleshooting hotend problems because K2 owners described PLA clumping/encasing hotend failures that can require significant time messing with the printer even if parts support exists.
Buyers who need consistent reliability from print to print because one commenter said the K2 Plus can be "hit and miss," with some units failing within a 20-hour single print.
Shoppers who are willing to pay a little more to avoid wasting time on basic test prints because one commenter warned that for a little more they should get a Bambu and said the K2 can waste your life figuring out how to print a benchy.

I am still happy with mine and I am planning to buy this exact printer at some point, just wanted to mention it might be a slight gamble.
It's not Bambu easy, but the software is open and you can use whatever you want file wise...which was my reason for sticking w/something other than Bambu.

The Creality printers that have the auto Z are fine.
I also have the Bambu A1C and I love it, the Bambu ecosystem and handy app are really great.
I would not say to get this right now but only because tool changers/ nozzle changers are going to be coming and changing the whole game.
They're not new but they are becoming affordable now.
I was very disappointed though that Creality has 2 new A1 clones coming out and still no tool or nozzle changer.
My ender 3 V3 SE prints fine
But slow and no multicolor so that is mainly why I use the Bambu A1C now.
But this printer is a lot better than the V3 SE so it should work even better and a lot faster
Even with auto Z and all the bed leveling tools you install, you'll end up having to manually adjust everything. spend your time printing instead of tinkering. use that extra time learning CAD.
