Community Reviews

This refurbished Dinamica is a fully automatic DeLonghi that stands out for convenience and espresso quality, with bean guidance pointing toward medium dark roasts and fresh roast dates for the best results. The machine is also seen as a step up for hotter drinks compared with older entry models, and the price history suggests this deal sits well below typical Amazon pricing. The main cautions are the short 90 day warranty on this listing and recurring concern about refurbished units, while the Costco Magnifica Evo is repeatedly framed as the safer alternative. A solid option if you want DeLonghi automation and can live with the warranty tradeoff.

Common Questions (3)

  • The Magnifica Evo is reported to be the safer pick if you already have it from Costco, with multiple years of use and no complaints. The Dinamica may still appeal if you want a different feature set or are chasing hotter drinks, but the comments do not show a clear performance advantage over the Evo.

  • Medium-dark roast beans roasted within about 4 months are the recommended fit, and roast dates on the bag matter more than brand. Trader Joe's single-origin or regional-farm beans and local roasters are suggested as affordable options, while Suite Habana beans are specifically reported to work very well.

  • The listing is described as having a 2-year warranty through SquareTrade/Allstate, but the BuyDig version is also noted as only carrying a 90-day warranty. That makes the warranty coverage a key difference to verify before buying, especially if you want longer protection.

Coming from the Cuisinart em-1000 ($249.99 at BB some years ago), tempted to get into this deal in hopes for hotter temperatures.

Can you just buy the milk container and it'll be like the dinamica plus?

Just ordered the Magnifica Evo from Costco which is the same ballpark price. Is this really worth the MSRP? Worth returning to get this?

Stick with the Costco Magnifica. Have had one for a couple years now. Zero complaints.

Is buying this on Amazon for 37 dollars more and 2 year extended warranty a better deal? Buydig one comes with 90 day warranty only.

Same experience with Evo. No issues over the year+. One suggestion (based on user mistake) - don't interrupt the decalcifying cycle once it's started.

The Ebay listing shows it has a two year warranty through Squaretrade/Allstate. That said, I have had nothing but trouble with them the past couple of claims and would not consider them a reputable warranty company any longer.

Seeing all these refurbs makes me wonder if they had defects or other issues with a batch or model series...

I have been using Suite Habana from Miami exclusively and would highly recommend their beans. And I'm an espresso snob 😂

MY experience with lower range espresso machines makes me say yes, it's worth the few dollars extra.

Any bean will work as long as it's a medium-dark roast and it has been roasted no more than 4 months before the time of purchase. Trader Joe's has a nice assortment of single origin beans and beans from regional farms. They usually have the roasted date on the package. I found they've been the most affordable. You can also try your local coffee roaster in your area.
