That's a helluva lot of work compared with just printing a riser for the lid to open it up a bit more. For example. [makerworld.com]

The concern is spool diameter. Inland spools from Micro Center, for example, are around 201-202mm, which seems like a small difference but also means they don't rest flush in the AMS and end up sitting about 1/2" taller than Bambu spools. That's JUST big enough to rub the AMS lid and prevent smooth feeding.

Will this work with bambu labs p2s with AMS 2?

Edit: internet says yes.

Thanks, I decided to get 10 rolls of white. I use that the most as I like to paint by hand instead of color print when possible.

Yes. Use the generic PLA preset and you should be fine.

He might be concerned with the cover clearing the rolls, I have 10 spools from freemover that don't fit had to print spools and respool them.

I think if you dry whatever filament out with the AMS2, it will be fine. PLA is pretty easy to work with and the P2S should take it like a champ. I've bought a few brands other than Bambu for my P2S and it's been good with it. Just load it up with the generic profile, and select the color from the app or on the system display and roll with it!

Man, this is good info to know! I never considered the spool size being "too big" for the AMS2 (just assumed all manufactures would use the same size spools- ~200mm?), and having to dry out a roll every time to mount it on the side of the 3D printer would be awful.

Not only would you need to print new spools, but you'd have to re-spool it, which is also a pain, unless you print a spool re-spinner.

Yes they do. I bought two 10kg PLA and PETG of Kingroon during Black Friday. Out of the 20 spools only one had issues where it would tangle in the AMS. It was resolved by unwinding the spool for a while still in the AMS a few times. I never had any clogging issues. One minor note that the orange color is off, it's more yellow than orange. Great budget filament if you're looking for something cheap.

This is wild! I didn't consider that until NitroNeil mentioned it above. Now I know to not buy any Inland, too! I have a Microcenter in Florida, but it's not close (4hrs?), and I would have certainly been upset getting it home to just have to re-spool it.

So, no to Inland & freemover. You've been blacklisted Big Grin

Is anyone else seeing charges for additional fees (which they say is sales tax) at higher than their sales tax rate?
