That's because it supports Dolby Atmos but does not support Dolby Vision.
They are not the same thing.

Not a bad deal but the deals might get bigger in the next few weeks with "the big game" around the corner

isn't there already a deal here for the 77" S90F at this price?

I've also read that the S90D have had power/board issues ... A lot of which have been fixed in the "F". Think it's worth waiting for the F prices to drop in a few months.

It's the 77' tv that has the powerboard issue. Mine went out 20 days outside the warranty. The new improved boards are constantly out of stock everywhere as well.

Was it a year warranty? I bought this model at Sam's despite the power board issues because 5 years warranty. The tv picture is amazing

I think its hilarious that Samsung says "Dolby Atmos" in their marketing and not "Dolby Vision". They're literally always finessing the marketing to trick consumer mentalities

Not surprising.
Dolby Vision competes with Samsungs own development of dynamic HDR(HDR10+).

Samsung does not have their own object based codec(ie Atmos/DTS:X).

Can confirm. Current 77 90D owner. Power board failed after about 7 months, tripping my breaker if plugged in. No warning. Samsung sent a tech out within a few days and he repaired it in 15 minutes. Tech also said he has seen quite a few but no issues after board replacement. You just have to hope it happens under the warranty period. This should be a manufacturer defect but rather than a recall they supposedly fixed it in the next iteration 90F.
