Best Buy open box for the Galaxy Watch Ultra can be a strong way to get the 47 millimeter LTE model at a lower price, especially when the unit arrives in excellent or mint condition. The watch itself is described as having a 1.5 inch screen and a heavier 60 gram build, and the open box route has worked well for watches and other devices when inspected in person. The main caution is that grading can be unreliable, with excellent units sometimes arriving scratched, missing parts, or even wrong. Shipping to store and opening it there is the safest approach, since returns can be straightforward but may involve a restock fee dispute.
Ship-to-store lets you inspect the Galaxy Watch Ultra in person before committing to the open-box purchase.
Some open-box watches arrive in excellent condition when opened and checked at the store.
Best Buy sometimes resolves open-box problems by substituting a new product instead of forcing the original return.
Open-box purchases can occasionally be trouble-free when the box contents match expectations.
Returns for LTE connected devices can involve a $45 restock fee dispute that may require extended arguing to get a full refund.
Open-box condition grading can be inconsistent, with some labeled excellent units arriving with missing parts or demo software still installed.
An open-box watch labeled excellent can still arrive heavily scratched or with peeling paint on sensor areas.
Some open-box watch units arrive with a cheap band, leading to a return.

Costco sells the 8 brand new for $259. BB does price match costco.
At this point, I wouldn't buy Best Buy Open box "Connected Device" like a phone or watch with LTE if shipped from Best Buy. I'd only buy this type of open box if I were in store and able to inspect before actually buying the open box.
Has anyone else here have issues returning open box connected device and getting stuck with the $45 restock fee?
