This DeWalt 192 piece mechanics set is a heavy, broad socket kit that covers most common jobs with 1 4, 3 8, and 1 2 inch drives, deep and standard sockets, extensions, adapters, Torx bits, and hex keys. The 6 point sockets are praised for reducing rounding and knuckle busting, and the set is made in Taiwan with a lifetime warranty. The main drawback is the large SAE section and the lack of box end wrenches. It feels like a solid, near complete chrome socket set for garage use.
Common Questions (5)
The sockets are all 6-point. That helps reduce rounding off fasteners and can be easier on knuckles, though 12-point sockets still have their place for some jobs.
It includes sockets, ratchets, extensions, adapters, hex keys, and spark plug sockets, but no box-end wrenches. That makes it a strong socket set while leaving room to buy a separate wrench set if you want one.
It is very heavy, with estimates around 35 to 37 pounds, and it ships in a huge box. The weight reflects the amount of steel in the set, so it is more of a garage or shop kit than a lightweight portable one.
It covers a broad range of SAE and metric sizes, including 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" drive sockets up to 24 mm and 1". It also includes deep sockets, Torx bits, hex bit sockets, extensions, adapters, and spark plug sockets.
Yes, the set has a lifetime warranty. That adds long-term value if you plan to keep and use it for years.

I knew it was going to be heavy but... it's heavy. Lots of quality steel for just $98!
Thanks OP for post. GREAT COMPLETE SET! My only complaint would be sockets are 6-point.
