Sorry to distract. I bought this cpu from Amazon resale recently. Tried 2 diff new b650 motherboards (latest bios), cannot get video output to bios from x16 graphics slot (works fine on integrated graphics and the secondary pcie slot). Tried multiple gpu, ram, b650 mb (asus and asrock), same issue (no m.2 installed)
Could it be cpu? It did look new in box and they dont have pins on cpu so not sure what to think (dont have another cpu to try).

find a working pc and swap the chip, or take it somewhere to be tested.

Yeah man it's got a 7800x3d from this company and it was a bum CPU. It's confusing because of so many horror stories about AM5 boards taking forever on ddr5 memory training. But you bought it from Amazon so just return it and roll the dice again. I got a new CPU and will be trying it on two b650e boards and an 870. If it doesn't work on those im literally just going back to am4 I have 48gb of ram for that system. So I'll flip this ddr5 I bought for the build. Is your ddr5 ram listed on the qvl as being compatible with both boards?

I had the same issue with this CPU and an ASUS board. Returned and went with Intel instead.
